The Grump's GardenDeep in the countryside where the hedges grow high,
You’ll discover an old garden beneath a wide sky.
From the roses and robin to snail, bloom and bee,
You might spy a Ladybird looking down from a tree.
Past bright-coloured pots, a spade and the barrow,
Runs a winding stone pathway, crooked and narrow.
From the shade of the tree to the old wooden gate,
There’s a whole little world where adventures await.
So come take a stroll, and wander around,
The garden’s a place for new friends to be found.
But take heed of the neighbours, all happy to talk,
Of a place in the garden where none dare to walk.
For down at the end of a long winding track,
Lives one little flower who might not smile back.
He’s small and he’s stubborn, with plenty to say -
So perhaps keep your distance… or just say good day.
